You can submit entries as an individual or in groups of no more than three. We encourage people to get together (virtually, of course!) to co-create the future together.

Whether you’re a budding designer, student, homeowner or simply just someone with a great idea, you’re welcome to participate in the open and young designer categories.

Dean & Director, Strate School of Design

Jacques has been living in Singapore with his family for more than 12 years - with a first stint in the City-State back in 1988! He is the Dean and Director of Strate School of Design, bringing to Singapore the pioneering Master in Design for Smart Cities, which takes on a unique Design Mix approach to train caring leaders capable of tackling complex systems, yet deploying simple and adoptable solutions. Jacques graduated from HEC Paris, EDHEC and Sciences Po Strasbourg. He is also a struggling Mandarin student.

Anthony is a technology tinkerer and dreams of a future of a world without keys. Aside from being the CEO of igloohome, Anthony enjoys travelling to experience different cultures and clocks over 500 hours of flight time on average annually - until now where he is grounded. Anthony graduated with a masters from Stanford University specialising in big data.

A celebrity interior designer in Singapore, Astley has multiple regional design awards under his belt. An avid mentor to design students, Astley is also the co-founder of Design Creed Asia, a community centric platform for designers to use their remit and skill sets to change the world.

Founder & Director, Stanford ChangeLabs

Banny has worked in the field of Innovation and Design for 30 years. He teaches system transformation, business innovation, design thinking, and leadership at Stanford University. He is well known for his pioneering work in design thinking and more recently his advanced systems based innovation methodology and Systems Leadership models for large-scale transformations in multi-dimensional challenges.

Rules & Regulations

  1. Multiple entries of different concepts are permitted.
  2. All entries must be original work belonging to the participant(s).
  3. Any deviation from submission requirements will result in disqualification.
  4. This challenge is open to anyone based in Singapore. For teams, at least one participant must be Singaporean or PR.
  5. Any plagiarism found in submissions will result in disqualification.
  6. Team submissions should have no more than three members.
  7. Artwork submitted must be original. No stock photography or copyrighted images may be used or duplicated without an unlimited use license purchased and provided by the designer.
  8. All submissions must have a valid name and email address in order to be eligible.
  9. All entries will be reviewed by igloohome personnel and guest judges. Judging is based on a variety of factors, including originality, relevance and feasibility.
  10. Prizes and mentorship are non-transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash. All taxes and other expenses not expressly specified herein as part of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
  11. Submission is open on 28 April 2020, 12:00 PM and closes on 01 June 2020, 23:59 PM. The submission period may be extended at the sole discretion of igloohome. Winners will be notified by email. Upon notification and before the award is granted, finalists will be required, at their own expense, to submit any original artwork to igloohome.
